For more info click here. “EUR might already meet criteria for Fairtrade University”ROTTERDAM | 19-11-2011 The “Fairtrade Debate 2011” organized by GreenEUR: Students for a sustainable University, Workgroup Fairtrade Rotterdam, Erasmus University and Hogeschool Rotterdam took place on the national Day of Sustainability, Friday the 11th of November 2011. Approximately 70 enthusiastic participants joined for a multi-stakeholder debate devoted to the topic of fair trade. “When I look at the criteria for becoming a Fairtrade University and specifically that 60% of all coffee and tea should be fair trade, I think we already meet this requirement”. With these words, Bart Straatman, member of the Executive Board of the Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR), opened the first Fairtrade Debate at EUR. |
